Hazel Felver, 96, of Van Wert, passed away at 8:05 p.m., Saturday at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert. She was born on June 24, 1919, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Charles Harold and Iva Myrtle (Rickard) Sutton. On August 6, 1938, she married Maxville Orren Felver who died on March 22, 1993. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Gerald and Aaron Sutton and four sisters, Leota Sutton, Dorothy Dobbs, Opal Bursley, and Pauline Jones. Family survivors include her brother, Daniel (Maxine) Sutton of Lima; and two sisters, Janice Agler of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Joanna Davis of Kokomo, Indiana. Hazel was greatly comforted in her last days by the promises of the heavenly home prepared for her. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Brock and David Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be calling Wednesday 1 p.m. until time of service. Preferred memorials are to the Lima Missionary Baptist Church or Teens for Christ.
