Gregg E. Markley, 62, of Scott, died at 9 p.m., Friday, shortly after arrival at Van Wert County Hospital. He was born on February 26, 1954, in Van Wert, the son of Harold Graydon Markley and Mary Ann (Hoaglin) Rogers who are both deceased. On Feb. 26, 1977, he married the former Beverly Lewis who survives. Other family members include his daughter, Gina LeAnn (Jeremy) York of Van Wert; three grandchildren, Nathan, Brianna and Corbin Snyder; two step grandchildren, Ariel and Koda York; and a step brother, Jeff W. Rogers. Gregg was a 1972 graduate of Van Wert High School. He had worked at Kennedy Manufacturing for 34 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and working on cars. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2016, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mohr Cemetery in Hoaglin Township. Calling hours are Thursday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m.
