Grace Louise Berryman, 89, of Ridge Township, passed away at 7:28 a.m., Tuesday at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Monroe, Michigan, on October 17, 1924, the daughter of Ralph Black and Velma (Stout) Black Bollenbacher. They both preceded her in death as well as her step-father, Jacob Bollenbacher. On July 25, 1942, she married Wesley Richard Berryman and he died on March 20, 1997. Family survivors include her daughter, Jill Ann Whitacre of Monroe, Indiana; her son, Thomas R. (Mary Jo) Berryman of Van Wert; seven grandchildren, Tina (Jeff) Crook, Nicole (Jason) Davis, Scott (Jenny)Whitacre, Trevor (Molly) Berryman, Jami (Josh) Replogle, Steve C. (Tricia), Berryman and Jennifer (Kevin) LaRochelle; and ten great grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, Trenton, Kyle, and Katie Lee Crook, Parker and Sophia Berryman, Eva and Wyatt LaRochelle, and Kent Whitacre. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Berryman; a sister, Virginia Leiter; and two brothers, Richard and Eugene Black. Grace was a 1942 graduate of Van Wert High School and retired from Aeroquip (Eaton) Corp. She was a member of Trinity Untied Methodist Church. There will be private services at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are 1 - 3 p.m., Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Preferred memorials are to the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center.
