Obituary

Gladys Mae Fauble, 88, of Van Wert, died at 5:50 p.m., Wednesday at the Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford. She was born on August 19, 1925, in Illinois, the daughter of the late Cecil William Hill and Florine May (Miller) Hill Hudson. She married Paul Gilbert Fauble on January 28, 1946, and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2002. Family members include her son, Gary (Sheila) Fauble of Xenia, Ohio; a daughter, Carol (Frank) Felter of Holgate, Ohio; one granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth (Chris) Zimbelman of Belleville, IL; four brothers, Jerry Hill of Schoolcraft, MI, Kenneth (Barbara) Hill of The Colony, TX, Harold (Linda) Hill of Rose Hill, VA, David (Linda) Hill of Van Wert; and two sisters Jewel (Tex) Hensley of Rose Hill, VA and Mary Walters of Van Wert. She was preceded in death by brothers, Henry Paul Hill, James M. Hill in addition to five other brothers and sisters in infancy. Gladys was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the family farm. She also taught art at Ohio City-Liberty School. She was a member of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert and volunteered at TV 44. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Trinity Friends Church with Rev. Steve Savage officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be calling hours from 12 noon - 2 p.m., Saturday at the Church. Preferred memorials are to the Colonial Nursing Center Activity Fund.
