Genevieve Ann Lautenschleger, 81, of Middle Point, passed away at 3:04 p.m., Monday at the Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on October 14, 1931, in Liberty Township, the daughter of the late Marion Delbert and Mildred Ruth (Agler) Taylor. On March 2, 1952, she married Owen D. Lautenschleger who died on March 25, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ralph McCoy Taylor. Family survivors include her two daughters, Debra (Rev. Michael A.) Havey of Carlisle, Ohio and Rhonda (Larry D.) Black of Van Wert; four grandchildren, Christina Crutcher, Timothy Black, Gregg Havey, and Scott Black; and three great grandchildren, Christopher Hollon, Alyssa Kirby, and Sloane Black. Genevieve was a 1949 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Middle Pont. She had worked for the Feigert Insurance Agency in Van Wert, then was officer manager at Ridge Quarry for over 20 years retiring in 1992. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Rita Bair officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Preferred memorials are to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
