Frances M. "Fritzi" Stewart, 83, of Convoy, passed away at 6:20 p.m., Friday at the home of her daughter near Fort Wayne. She was born on January 6, 1932, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late H. Robert and Dorothy (Gordon) Hummel. On May 5, 1951, she married Bryan A. Stewart who preceded her in death on October 21, 2011. She was also preceded in death by a son, Randall Stewart. Family survivors include two daughters, Angela (Doug) White of Fort Wayne and Cynthia (Dan) Rattray of Shelbyville, KY; two sons, Lonnie Stewart of Mason, Ohio and Faron (Janet) Stewart of Orlando, Florida; a brother, Dave Hummel of Convoy; and two grandchildren. Fritzi had retired from General Electric in Fort Wayne with 26 years of service. She was a member of the Convoy United Methodist Church where she had served on the United Methodist Women, Administrative Board, Pastor Parish Relations Committee, Missions Committee and funeral dinner committee. She was an avid fan of Crestview High School football and basketball teams. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Convoy United Methodist Church with Rev. Gregory Leigh officiating. Interment will follow at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 2 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the service all at Convoy United Methodist Church. Preferred memorials are to the Convoy United Methodist Church or Crestview Athletic Booster Club.
