Frank Liljegren, 93, of Van Wert passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Vancrest of Van Wert. He was born on February 23, 1930 in Bronx, New York. Frank married Donna Kathryn Hallam on October 12, 1957. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2018.

Frank worked as a commercial artist in New York City for many years, doing oil and pastel paintings. Frank could truly make pictures come to life. Some of his work was donated to the University of St. Francis Art Department in Fort Wayne.

Besides his wife, Frank was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Esther Liljegren, a sister, Esther Treanore, and a brother-in-law, Patrick Hallam. Family survivors include a sister-in-law, Sheila (Dana) Sanderson and a nephew, Matthew (Corina) Hallam.

A private family service will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
