Obituary

Floyd Timothy "Tim" Agler, 83, of Willshire Township, passed away at 6:26 p.m., Sunday at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born on December 11, 1929, in Columbus, the son of the late Floyd E. and Clara Catherine (Merkle) Agler. On April 2, 1967, he married the former Dorothy May Mengerink who survives. Other family members include two sons, Randall K. (Patricia) Agler of Wooster, OH and Brent (Michelle) Agler of Rockford; four grandchildren, Clayton, Ryan, Nathan and Cory Agler; and three sisters, Marjorie (Robert) Cureton of Carlsbad, CA, Beverley (Harold) Griffith of Glendora, CA and Gloria (David) Koch of Cridersville, OH Tim was a retired farmer. Hhe graduated from Willshire High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion Post #207 of Willshire, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5803 of Van Wert, and a long time member of the Eagles Lodge Aerie 886 of Van Wert where he served as treasurer and on the ritual team and bowling team. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion. Calling hours are Wednesday 3 - 8 p.m. Preferred memorials are to the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
