Eleazar T. Rodriguez, 77 of Van Wert, died at 4:17 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born on November 25, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late Atancio T. and Cruz (Torres) Rodriguez. His companion Mary Walters survives. Eleazar retired from Aeroquip Corporation (Eaton) and was a member of the Pentecostal Bethlehem Tabernacle in Van Wert, Ohio. He is survived by his children, Sophia L. Montague of Fort Wayne, Laura Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas, Sisto (Grace) Rodriguez of Archbold, Ohio, Eli (Chris) Rodriguez of Van Wert, Anna (Tood) Temple of Van Wert, and Efrain Rodriguez of Bluffton, Indiana; brothers, Eliseo Rodriguez of Traverse City, Michigan, Daniel Rodriguez of Irving Texas, Neftale Rodriguez of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Samuel Rodriguez of Uvalde, Texas; sisters, Elizabeth Gonzales, Cruz Ramos, and Rebecca Cisneros, all of Uvalde, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Rodriguez Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 24, 3:00 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Russell Lawrence of the Pentecostal Bethlehem Tabernacle Church. Visitation is scheduled from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment is at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, Ohio. Memorial contribution to the American Diabetes Association.
