Edmund Henry Meyer, Jr., 82, of Van Wert passed away Friday morning at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on November 10, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio the son of the late Edmund Henry Meyer, Sr., and Martha (Bergstedt) Meyer. On February 23, 1979, he married the former Janet Marie (Justus) Meyer who survives in Van Wert.

Other family members include his two sons, Edmund H. (Nita) Meyer, III, of Van Wert and Thomas Joseph Meyer of Texas; grandchildren, Edmund H. Meyer, IV "Butch" of Texas, Michelle Meyer of Sarasota, Florida, Michael (Cheyanne) Meyer of Italy, Robin Duran of Whitney, Texas, Meagan Stock of Tucson, Arizona, Rylie (Mark) Davis of St. Marys, and Taite (Grace) McKinney of Nashville, Tennessee and Forrestt Case of Toledo; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Edmund was preceded in death by six siblings, Richard Meyer, Ronald Meyer, Joanne Schwandt, Mary Lou Mitchell, Shirley Grow and Madeline "Midge" Meyer.

He was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and owned and operated Seagate Connections of Toledo for 35 years. Ed enjoyed car and truck models and was a avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan.
