Edwin Wayne Ainsworth, 66 of Ohio City, died at 2:34 a.m., Thursday September 3, 2015 at the C.H.P.-Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio. He was born on October 4, 1948 in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of the late Martha Helen (Wiseman) and Hugh V. Ainsworth. On July 8, 1972, he married Portia Lucille (Agler), who preceded him in death on January 13, 2011. Ed retired in 2002 from Kennedy Manufacturing in Van Wert with 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War Era. Family survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Alison and Brandon Miller of Van Wert and their children, Carter & Rylan Miller; three sisters, Norma Jean Bowen, Sue (Leroy) Ernie, and Annie (Bill) Carr, all of Ohio City, and brother-in-law, Basil (Glory) Agler of Ohio City. He was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Wayne Ainsworth; sister, Donna Lee Ainsworth; and three brothers, John David Ainsworth, Thomas Hugh Ainsworth, and Mark Allen Ainsworth. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday September 5, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City, Ohio, with military rites by the American Legion Harvey Lewis Post #346, Ohio City. Visitation is 2-7 p.m. Friday September 4 at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, Ohio.
