Earlene Anne Perkins, 84 of Van Wert, died at 4:56 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 8, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Earl Everet and Pearl Edith (Sinning) Hinds. On June 20, 1994, she married Gary Perkins, who survives at the residence. Earlene retired from Federal Mogul Corporation on April 1, 1996, after 19 years; she was a 1951 graduate of Van Wert High School. Family survivors include her husband, Gary; two sons, Ronald E. (Joanne) Tindall of Summerville, South Carolina and Brian J. (Sheri) Tindall of Van Wert; two daughters, Cynthia R. Pierce and beloved companion Bruce Linn, and his son Jason of Ottoville, Ohio, and Pamela M. (Norman) Detwiler of Van Wert; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Perkins of Fort Wayne and Michelle Perkins of Van Wert; brother, Allan (Dianne) Hinds of Alburquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren, Aaron (Lara) Detwiler, Luke (Carrie) Detwiler, Shane (Jessica) Pierce, Lauren (Jeff) Henry and Sam Tindall; five great-grandchildren, Cailey, Tiffany, Storm Pierce, Wesley and Jaden; four great great-grandchildren; and 2 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the children's father, Sam Tindall, and her sister, Donna Adams. Private Family services will be held at Cowan & Son Funeral Home.
