Dustin Paul Fensler, 42, of Van Wert passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

He was born on June 18, 1981 in Kenton, Ohio the son of Nancy J. (James) Knapke of Van Wert and the late Jerry Fensler. Besides his father, Dustin was preceded in death by his step-father, Jerry Knapke; his paternal grandfather, Jack Fensler; and maternal grandparents, Richard and Gerry James.

Family survivors include his mother; a brother, Drake Knapke of Van Wert; a step-sister, Rachel Sergent of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; his grandmother, Barbara Fensler and several aunts and uncles.

Dustin had worked at Superior Auto in Van Wert and was employed at O'Daniel Automotive Group in Fort Wayne as an auto detailer.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
