Donna Kathryn Liljegren, 83, of Van Wert died at 9:40 a.m., Monday at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert. She was born on April 1, 1935, in Van Wert the daughter of the late Garnet E. and F. Margaret (Spayd) Hallam. On October 12, 1957, she married Frank S. Liljegren who survives. Other family members include a sister, Sheila (Dana) Sanderson of Van Wert; a nephew, Matthew S. (Corina) Hallam of Nashville, Tennessee; and a step niece, Erin Waple of Cleveland. Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick E. Hallam. Donna was a 1953 graduate of Van Wert High School. She began her art career as an animator with Terry Tunes and other producers in New York City. She was then the first director of the Wassenberg Art Center, and later worked as a florist at Marsh Supermarket. She also operated Liljegren Gallaries in Van Wert.
