Dennis Davis, 71, of Piqua formerly of Van Wert passed away, September 9, 2024, at Piqua Manor.

He was born on February 8, 1953, in Van Wert, Ohio the son of the late Carl L. Davis and Mary E. (Christman) Davis. On July 15, 1984 he married  Sylvia (Stokes) Davis who preceded him in death.

Other family members include his step-children, Denesa Goings of Sidney, Ohio and Darrin Day of Sidney, Ohio; 11 granchildren, Ryan Dempsey, Destiny Goings, Kyle Goings, Tyler Goings, Daniel Goings, Andrea (Drew) Spurgeon, Nathan Day, Saxxon Day, Amanda Day, Amber (Jacob) Pannell, and Deanna (Coltin) Kersey ; one brother Douglas Davis of Shreveport, Louisiana.

He was also preceded in death by his step-children, Darrell Day and Dalan Day; grandson, Dailan Day.

Dennis worked at Central Mutual Insurance Company for many years in the maintenance department. He was known for his love of bowling, video recording, and  the Green Bay Packers.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2024, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Eilene Hix officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to American Cancer Society.
