Denean D. Branstrator, 97, formerly of Convoy, died at 4:54 a.m., Wednesday at the home of his daughter in Maitland, Florida. He was born on April 30, 1918, in Roanoke, Indian, the son of the late Willis and Dennie May (Cheney) Branstrator. On November 14, 1941, he married the former Evalyn L. Fugate who preceded him in death on April 15, 2007. Family survivors include his daughter, Ellen R. Schellhause of Maitland; one son, Dan Branstrator of Fremont, Ohio; and three grandchildren. Denean was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Pacific. He retired from International Harvester. Services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, December 28, 2015, at the Convoy United Methodist Church with Pastor Melissa Steinecker officiating. Interment will follow at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Calling hours are 10:30 a.m., Monday until time of the service also at the Church.
