Deloris Mae Lichtenberger, 61, of Van Wert, died at 7:55 p.m., Saturday at the Van Wert County Hospital. She was born on February 23, 1952, in Wren, the daughter of John S. and Wilma (Overholser) Lichtenberger of Wren. Other family survivors include two brothers, Sherman (Virginia) Lichtenberger of Berne, IN and Stanley (Jennifer) Lichtenberger of Van Wert; two sisters, Beverly (Alan R.) Lichtensteiger of rural Ohio City and Joyce (Jim) Graffmiller of Portland, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Deloris worked in several area restaurants and was manager at Geppie's for five years. Later she did child care at her home and was mother to many kids. She also loved doing crafts, crocheting and the OSU Buckeyes. Deloris was a member of Wren United Brethren Church. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 2 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Preferred memorial are to the Gideon's International.
