Obituary

Dean C. Fralick, 83, of Harrison Township, died unexpectedly at 5:47 p.m., Tuesday at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born November 18, 1929 in Wren, a son of the late Robert Lancaster and Lola Grace (Springer) Fralick. On May 25, 1952, he married the former Patricia F. Baker who survives. He was a life long farmer and served his country in the Korean War. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Wert. In addition to his wife, other survivors include two sons, Terry (Judie) Fralick and Clair (Marlys) Fralick both of Convoy; one daughter, Brenda (Brent) Edwards of Van Wert, eight grandchildren, Timothy Fralick, Jonathan Fralick, Anna Edwards, Hilary Edwards, Noah Edwards, Nathan Fralick, Breanne Frye, and Kari Fralick; great grandchildren, Victor, Dallas, and Michael; and two brothers, Gordon L. Fralick of Convoy and Doyt R. Fralick of Lynn Haven, Florida. Dean was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Gallaway and Yvonne Binkley Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Van Wert Woodland Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the combined honor guard of the American Legion Post #178 and V.F.W. Post #5803, both of Van Wert. Calling hours are Friday 3 - 7 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the Church. Preferred memorials are to First Baptist Church or Gideons Internaitonal.
