David A. Hoverman, 74, of Van Wert, died at 9:53 p.m., Wednesday at the Van Wert Manor Nursing Home. He was born on December 25, 1940, in Fostoria, Ohio, the son of the late Doyt Russell and Gertrude G. (Kreischer) Hoverman. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Hoverman. Family survivors include two brothers, Richard A. Hoverman of Van Wert and Bruce Hoverman of Fairfax, VA. David worked at Aeroquip (Eaton) Corporation as quality control technician and Telflex Corporation as assistant quality control manager. He retired from the Continental Secret Service Bureau in Toledo. He was a 1959 graduate of Van Wert High School, a 1966 graduate of Giffin College, and attended Bowling Green University, University of Toledo, St. Francis College and IPFW. In 1974, he was named a trustee of Giffin College. He was a past member of the Willow Bend Country Club and the 1961 Aeroquip Golf Champion team member. There will be no visitation or services.
