Pastor Dale Elliott Bolenbaugh, 44, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at the Van Wert County Hospital. He was born on February 19, 1969, in Van Wert, the son of Diana Glass of Van Wert and the late Fred Keith Bolenbaugh who died in 2004. On May 1, 2004, he married the former Nicole R. Baker who also survives. Other family members include his daughter, Ariel Baker of Van Wert; a son, Gage Bolenbaugh at home; one brother, Brent (Julianne) Bolenbaugh of Scott; a nephew, Joshua Baeten of Fort Wayne; his mother-in-law, Sharon Baker of Paulding; and one brother-in-law, Newlyn Baker of Paulding. Dale was a 1987 graduate of Van Wert High School. He had been of professional wrestler, played semi-pro football and played in several local rock bands. He was serving as pastor of Spring Harvest Church for the past six years having been ordained through the Anchor Bay Evangelistic Association. He had appeared on "Meet the Pastor" on TV 44 and had his own TV ministry "The Bible Says" on Fort Wayne local access TV. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Adams, President of Anchor Bay Evangelistic Association, and Pastor Jim Splawn officiating. Calling hours are Wednesday 2 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Dale's family.
