Connie Elaine Wilkins, 71, of Van Wert, died at 12 a.m., Wednesday at VanCrest Health Care Center. She was born on January 20, 1942, in York Township, the daughter of the late Merle Edgar and Hazel Davida (Owens) Wilkins. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Leora Louise Macklin. Family survivors include her sister, Sharleen (Warner) Heckley of New Castle, IN; two nephews, Clifford (Pam) Macklin of Wauseon and Greg Macklin of Venedocia; a niece, Laura Dolence of Greenfield, IN; and a brother-in-law, Stanley M. Macklin of Venedocia. Connie had worked at Balyeat's Restaurant in Van Wert Services will be held at 1 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow at Wright Cemetery in Jennings Township.
