Clarence Franklin Beach, 83, of Greenwood, Indiana and formerly of Van Wert, died at 5:55 p.m., Sunday, at Community Hospital-South in Indianapolis. He was born on April 12, 1933, in Ohio City, the son of the late Perry Andrew and Lela Luella (Felver) Beach. On October 31, 1958, he married the former Patricia Ann Rupert who survives in Greenwood. Other family members include his daughter, Tammy K. (Bill) Britton of Greenwood; two sons, Timothy A. Beach of Austin, Texas, and Todd A. (Mayra) Beach of Corpus Christi, Texas; ten grandchildren, Timothy A. Beach, Christina Beach, Joseph Beach, Daniel Beach, Andrew Beach, Emily Beach, Caryn K. Anzures, Cole William Britton, Sean Beach, and Catlyn K. Beach; six great grandchildren; one brother, Richard H. Beach of Van Wert; and two sisters, Lois L. Williams of Columbia, SC, and Sarah E. (Herbert) McConn of Ohio City. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Perry Beach, and a brother-in-law, Richard "Dick" Williams. Clarence was a 1951 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and attended the Indiana Institute of Technology and I.U.P.U, Fort Wayne. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Van Wert and had been a scout master for Troop 31. He was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross. He retired from Federal Mogul in 1994 and also taught at Vantage Career Center for 26 years. He was a member of AIPE - the American Institute of Plant Engineers. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. Interment will take place at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 346, Ohio City. Pall bearers honoring Mr. Beach will be Caryn K. Anzures, Bill W. Rupert, Sean M. Beach, Seth C. Karl, Brendan Karl, and Cole W. Britton. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert or the Community Hospital Hospice in Indianapolis
