Carol Ann Leppard, 54 of Van Wert, died at 6:16 p.m., Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio. She was born on October 21, 1961 in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth Thompson and Nancy L. Barnett, surviving of Van Wert. Her step-father, Robert Franklin Barnett is also deceased. Her step mother Penny Thompson survives. Carol had been working at A.M.I. in Monroeville, Indiana. She was a 1980 graduate of Van Wert High School. Family survivors include her mother, Nancy; daughter, Jessica R. Leppard (Justin Taylor) of Van Wert; three sons, Lance J. Thompson (LeAnna Coil) of Paulding, Wesley A. Thompson and Robert E. Thompson, both of Van Wert; two brothers, Paul Ray Thompson and Clarence Barnett, both of Van Wert; sister, Jody (Shawn) Comer of Van Wert; and seven grandchildren, Jaycee Kennedy, Myca Thompson, Kaine Leppard, Madilynn Thompson, Kailyn Robinson, Lincoln Thompson, and Lindon Thompson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jay Dee Thompson. She loved her grandchildren and they were her life. She had such a big heart and would help everybody. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April 25, 11:00 a.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, Ohio, officiated by Pastor Ernie Long of Van Wert Victory Church. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 24, 1-5 p.m. and one hour ahead of the services on Monday. Interment is at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, Ohio.
