Betty D. Brown, age 93, of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at her home.

She was born on November 6, 1931, in Fort Wayne Indiana, the daughter of the late Harley Otto Purk and Agnes Cecelia (Beauchot) Purk. On July 28, 1983 she married Eugene Wayne Brown and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2012.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Robin (Greg) Pruett of Ohio City; four step-children, Kelly Brown (Tony Craig) of Van Wert, Lisha (Robert) Miller of Van Wert, Arnold Brown of Lima and Troy Brown of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Chavonne (James) Pirani, Amy Robinson, Lisa (Rusty) Harp, Christal (Scott) Rockwell and Renee Thomas.

Betty worked at the VanCrest Nursing Home in the housekeeping area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene, two daughters, Karen Stahm and Linda Lou Fife; one son Jeffrey A. Keller; a grandson Robert Joe Pruett; two brothers, Dale Edwin Purk and Leo Louis Purk infancy.

Private family-only services will take place at a later date. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, Ohio.
