Beatrice O. (Myers) Haines, 95, of Van Wert, died at 5 a.m., Sunday at VanCrest Health Care Center in Van Wert. She was born on January 3, 1921, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Fred and Orah (Rummel) Myers. On Oct. 17, 1959, she married Louis E. Haines who died on Feb. 10, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Reba Eva Springer and brother-in-law, Kenneth A. Springer. Family survivors include her nephew, Ned (Linda) Springer of Ohio City; a niece, B. Elaine (James) Anspaugh of Van Wert; two step daughters, Barbara (Charles) Cousens of Wisconsin and Sandra (Fred) Sargent, Sr. of Van Wert; and other nieces and nephews. Bea had taught Bible classes in several area schools and was a homemaker. She attended First Baptist Church of Van Wert A grave side service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in St. Marys Township, Adams County, Indiana, with Rev. Steve A. Robinson officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Preferred memorials are to the donor's local Bible House.
