B. Devon Bricker, 74 of rural Van Wert, died at 2:30 p.m., Monday February 11, 2013 at the C.H.P.-Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert He was born on May 18, 1938 in Rossford, Ohio, the son of the late Cleo A. (Bower) and Bernard A. Bricker. On March 30, 1958, he married Sharleen B. (Wiseman), who survives at the residence. Devon was a retired educator, having taught at Ohio City Liberty and Van Wert City School, retiring in 1995 with 35 years. He was a 1956 graduate of Van Wert High School; received his Bachelor's Degree from Bowling Green State University; and received his Masters Degree from St. Francis. He was past patron of the Order of Eastern Star in Ohio City; Past Master of the Masonic Lodge of Ohio City; and member of the N.E.A. & O.E.A. Family survivors include his wife, Sharleen; three sons, David B. (Lori) Bricker of Van Wert, Lewis D. (Lisa) Bricker of Destin, Florida, and Mark (Holly Bricker of Brookville, Ohio; a daughter, Sydnee (Scott) Juneac of Huntsville, Alabama; sister, Joyce Livingston of California; eight grandchildren, Josh Bricker, Jennifer Bricker, Ashley Saam, Zac Bricker, Lee Bricker, Luke Bricker, Seth Juneac, & Eric Juneac; and five great grandchildren, Madison Bricker, Abgail Bricker, Lindy Saam, Kiara Saam, & Allison Saam. He was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Brubaker. A celebration of Devon's Life service will be held Saturday May 11, 2-4 p.m. at the residence. (9149 Emerson Road, Van Wert) Memorial are to the C.H.P.-Inpatient Hospice Center.
