Anne Marie Rivera, 60, of Convoy, passed away Friday afternoon at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on December 21, 1955, in Mercer County, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Louise V. (Schwarck) and Robert L. Wertenberger who survives in Convoy. On October 16, 2015, she married Jimmy Rivera who also survives. Other family members include three sons, Matthew R. (Amanda) Stewart of Des Moines, Iowa, Kory Michael Stewart of Van Wert, and Bryce Alan (Erin) Stewart of Ft. Loramie, OH; a step- daughter, Melissa Marie Rivera of Fullerton, CA; three brothers, Tim Wertenberger of Convoy, Tony Wertenberger of Tenneesee, and Troy Zimmerman of St. Marys; a sister, Renee Gilbert of North Carolina; and six grandchildren, Celeste Louise, Ava Kathleen, Ashlyn Elizabeth, Emri Graelyn, Joseph Cash, Elisyn Graesha Stewart. Anne was a 1974 graduate of Crestview High School. She was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church where she was active with the Food Pantry, Church Choir, and serving funeral dinners. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She was a great animal lover and enjoyed gardening and crafts. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2016, at Convoy United Methodist Church with Pastor Melissa Steinecker. officiating. Preferred memorials are to the Convoy United Methodist Church.
