Alonzo James "Zoe" Muñoz, 26 of Van Wert, lost his battle with addiction on Wednesday afternoon of December 18, 2019 at his residence.

He as born on December 28, 1992 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Irving Muñoz of Chicago and Victoria Lynn (Oszakiewski) Panning of Van Wert.

Zoe was a 2011 graduate of Van Wert High School and had went to school for welding.

He is survived by his son, Wyatt James Muñoz of Van Wert, best friend and mother of his son, Tiffany Raines; daughter, Jerzie Rose of Van Wert; brother, Steven E. (Steph) Castillo of Chicago, IL; and three sisters, Nicole Marie (Casey) Castillo of Elmendorf, Texas, Alexis Sophia Muñoz and Arianna Muñoz, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 4:00 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, 616 S. Washington Street, Van Wert, Ohio.  Visitation is from 12- 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  (December 28, 2019).

Preferred memorials are to Westwood Behavior Center.
