Kristine Burnett Obituary

Kristine Dianne Burnett, 69, passed away at The Liberty Retirement Community of Lima on Friday, November 1, 2019, at 1:05 p.m.  She was born on Monday, February 6, 1950, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Karl Francis and Helen Elizabeth (Bauman) Burnett.

Kris is survived by her siblings:  Daniel (Sharon) Burnett of Wake Forest, NC; Kevin Burnett of Van Wert; Vernice “Pixie” (Mark) Dickman of Middle Point, Frederick Burnett of Weaverville, NC; and Kendall Burnett of Cibolo, TX.  Also surviving are six nieces, four nephews, and eight grand-nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two nephews.

Kris attended school at Lincolnview School District, and when the family moved in 1966, she finished out her high school years at Blue Creek Local School District, graduating in 1968.  She also attended Heidelberg College in Tiffin.

She loved cooking, baking, gardening and reading.  Her specialties of pies, cakes and candies, especially during the holidays, will be fondly remembered and appreciated by her family.

Although Kris struggled from numerous physical ailments and declining health these past several years, it is with great assurance that we know her Lord and Savior has forever removed that pain and suffering.

Interment will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at Wright Cemetery, Venedocia, with Pastor Tim Owens officiating.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Middle Point United Methodist Church, Middle Point.
