Jamie A Rice

Jamie A. Rice, 65 of Findlay and formerly of Ohio City & Gwinn, Michigan, died at 8:40 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Van Wert Manor.

She was born on July 22, 1953 in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of the late James E. Grant, Sr. and Carolyn E. (Sallee) Fatula, who survives in Van Wert.

Jamie was a homemaker, child care worker, worked at Findlay Industries, Ohio City Division, Avis/ Budget Rental Car agent in Gwinn, Michigan and GSW Manufacturing in Findlay.

She was a member of the Van Wert Women’s Bowling Association, Findlay Women’s Bowling Association, 600 Club, and was a Cancer Patient Services Volunteer in Findlay, Ohio.

Jamie shared with John J. Rice, who preceded her in death, three daughters, Jan Marie (Adam) Rakestraw of Findlay, Jill C. Rice of Ohio City, and Joy (Ryan) Linn of Van Wert; six grandchildren, Caylin Moran, Aidan Rice, Nevin Piece, Gracelynn Brown, Natalie Rakestraw, and Madelyn Rakestraw; two great-grandchildren, Masyn & Wrenly Runyon; two brothers, James E. Grant, Jr. of Venedocia and George A. (Tara) Grant of Kokomo, Indiana; and her sister, Lauri L. Martin of Kokomo. 

Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, July 7, 2:00 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, officiated Pastor David Ray of Jennings Road Church of Christ.  Visitation is scheduled from 12- 2:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
