Devin Michael Snyder

Devin Michael Snyder, 24 of Gaston, South Carolina and formerly of Harrison Township, Van Wert, died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his residence in Gaston.

He was born on May 16, 1994 in Coldwater, Ohio, the son of Nicole L. Snyder of Ohio City and Philip Ramos, Jr. of Van Wert.  His step-father, Larry P. Lichtensteiger of Ohio City and step-mother, Dalena Ramos of Van Wert, also survive.

Devin was a diesel mechanic.  He was a graduate of the Crestview High School Class of 2013/ Vantage Vocational School- Ag Diesel Mechanic Program.  He was a member of American Legion Post #207, Sons of the American Legion, Willshire, Ohio; Member of the Convoy Fox Hunters; and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4- wheeling, video games, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Family survivors include his parents, Nicole L. Snyder and step- father Larry P. Lichtensteiger and Philip Ramos, Jr. and step-mother Dalena Ramos; half- siblings, Codie & Lindsey Ramos; grandparents, Frederick L. Snyder of Ohio City and  Philip & Penny Ramos of Van Wert; step- grandfather, Charles Collins of Oakwood; Aunts & Uncles, Jeremy & Tammy Snyder of Gaston, Angel Snyder of Columbus, Ohio, Travis Snyder of Ohio City, Stuart Ramos of Convoy, and Tonya Andrew; and cousins, Brittany Snyder, Blake Snyder, Blaze Snyder, Breeze Snyder, and Raymond Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his step-sister, Elizabeth Lichtensteiger; and grandmother, Linda Lea Fox Snyder Collins.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 10:30 a.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Jeff T. Millay of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Venedocia Cemetery in Venedocia, Ohio.  Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
