Basil Agler

Basil L. "Butch" Agler, Jr., 62, of Ohio City died at 3:15 a.m., Saturday at his residence.

He was born on January 27, 1953, in Van Wert, the son of Velma Lorene (Hart) Agler who survives in Van Wert and the late Basil Leroy Agler, Sr. He married the former Glory L. Look who also survives.

Other family members include his two daughters, Holly E. Agler and Mandy L. Agler, both of Auburn, Indiana.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Portia Lucille Ainsworth.

Butch was a 1972 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and attended the Ohio City Community Church of God. He was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Rockford Eagles Lodge.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating. Interment will follow at the Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 2 - 8 p.m.
